Table of Characters
My husband got me a blank table (ok, I know all tables are inherently 'blank') for my birthday a couple years ago. I just finished the revisions on it - and created a table of characters. These are all characters from our favorite children's books. There are 23 books represented. 100 bucks to anyone who can name them all! (Just kidding about the $$$!)
If it were your choice, what characters would you put on a table? Just curious!

Isaiah Project - Part 11: Basically, the love of God
I had fun with this one for Valentine's Day coming up. It is based on Isaiah 41:10 which says:
Do not fear, for I am with you
Do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God
I will strengthen you, Surely I will help you
Surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
This one had a mind of its own. I almost scrapped the whole thing and painted over with gesso, but I used restraint and tried to go with it.
Happy Valentine's Day, Monday and forever.

The Isaiah Project - Part 10: Let Every Valley Be Lifted Up
I am studying Isaiah 40 these two weeks. I love this chapter which is full of comfort. I can't helping thinking of Handel's Messiah. Apparently Handel loved this passage as well.
The text on the page is from Isaiah 40:3-5: "A voice is calling, "Clear the way for the Lord in the wilderness; Make smooth in the desert a highway for our God. Let every valley be lifted up, and every mountain and hill be made low; and let the rough ground become a plain, and the rugged terrain a broad valley; Then the glory of the Lord will be revealed, and all flesh will see it together; for the mouth of the Lord has spoken."
